- Abstract
Article on the arrest of LaTrobe University Students' Representative Council (SRC) President, Jane Kemelfield, over the occupation of the Vice-Chancellor's office in 1995. The occupation was to protest the withdrawal of SRC funding following the passage of Voluntary Studen Unionism (VSU) legislation in the Victorian parliament. Around the time of the occupation, four editors of the SRC newspaper, Rabelais, were also arrested for publishing an article which allegedly encouraged shoplifting.
