In the early 2000s the debate on asylum seekers and immigration into Australia was highly discussed. The impact on the environment as a result of population growth was a factor of the debate. This paper was produced by Friends of the Earth Australia, to discuss the potential impact on the environment and to provide information and recommendations to those involved in the debate.
