Details
Prichard's literary work includes the novels Working bullocks (1926) and Coonardoo (1929). The trilogy, The roaring nineties (1946), Golden miles (1948) and Winged seeds (1950), forms her major later work. She was a member of the Communist Party of Australia, helping to found the Western Australian branch in 1920. Prichard was active in the Party, writing pamphlets and plays, working in the peace movement and on electoral campaigns. She also helped to establish the Writers' League and was a founding member of the Western Australian branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers. Prichard was also co-editor of Australian New Writing (1943-46).
