Summary

The organisation which published the Sydney Gay Liberation Newsletter was founded in 1972 and was similar to the group which published the Melbourne Gay Liberation Newsletter. The group was committed to a radical version of the then-emerging gay politics. Most of its members were committed to socialism, feminist politics and solidarity with all oppressed groups. Publication of the newsletter began in 1972 and concluded in 1974. Issues of the newsletter were deposited in the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives in Melbourne.
