Summary

William and John was one of the first camp magazines in Australia and the first gay movement publication to be charged with obscenity. Commercially produced, it was published between 1972 and 1973. The magazine combined artistic photography of naked men with serious content such as gay lib manifestos. Copies of William and John were deposited in the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives.
